Um, is it just me, or does no one else remember how BP originally positioned themselves as the most ‘green’ oil company? If memory serves they launched their latest logo as an embodiment of environmental values about ten years ago. No one believed it then – and now, look.

If you’re plundering the earths resources – albeit for energy we all want and use – at least show some respect by having a contingency plan for when things go wrong. For all the space mission type planning that goes into extracting oil thousands of metres below the sea bed, it is rather strange that they are resorting to the sort of tactics to fix the problem that one might think up in a primary school science class.
A contingency plan – now that would be ‘green’.
